Please read the following bolded statement. If this applies to you, I will not accept your guest post submission.
A growing trend across the internet is for sites to submit guest posts to blogs simply for the SEO benefit of having additional links back to their site.
Although these posts are often well written, this strategy doesn’t sit well with me. I have worked hard over the last several years to build a trustworthy community of readers. In a sense, I feel like a pastor of a little congregation. I'm protective of my pulpit and I will not compromise it.
At this time I choose to keep my blog ad free. That means if I host a give-away or promote a product or program, it's because I use it or believe in it. Please do not submit inquiries for the promotion of your product unless I solicit you.
In other words, if you are looking for a place to imbed your links or promote your products, please look elsewhere.
I only post guest posts from people who are looking to build community, who are already an active part of the blogosphere or who I know personally.

If you are an active blogger looking to build community or if I know you personally, then please read on...I would love for you to submit a guest post!
What’s in it for you?
In addition to publishing your post, I’ll include a by-line (aka, a blurb about you), a link to your blog or website AND a link to your post on my personal Facebook.
Submission Guidelines:
1. The topic of your post must be consistent with the purpose of God Speaks Today—namely, to learn to hear God’s voice in everyday life or something that relates to fitness and nutrition (to be used on Fitness Friday).
2. The post must be consistent with mainstream Christian beliefs. I don’t care about your denomination or your favorite Bible translation. I just want to know you love Jesus.
3. The post must be Scripturally sound. Not that you have to include scriptures. You don’t. But don’t write about stuff that can’t be backed up by Scripture. Oh, and if you do use scripture, please include the reference and Bible translation (NIV, KJV, ect)
4. Please try to keep the post below 1000 words. Trust me on this…readers zone out and stop reading when the post is too long. Even if it’s really good. They just do.
5. Include pictures or links to your sources, if you want to.
6. Include a blurb about yourself and a link to your blog or website, if you have one.
7. If you have a blog, website or Facebook, please include a link to God Speaks Today or add my button to your sidebar when your article appears on this site. This is not mandatory. But I’d appreciate it.
8. Please send only submissions that are free of typos, grammatical errors, and punctuation issues. I'm sorry, but I don't have time to edit your post before I publish them. Shoot, I barely have time to edit my own.
Topic Ideas (just to get your mind working—submit anything that falls within the guidelines):
1. How God illuminated a scripture to me
2. God spoke to me through another person (my pastor, my kids, the cashier at Wal-mart)
3. Intimacy with God—how I nurture it
4. Anything funny/family/marriage/church related
5. Adoption
6. Death of a child
7. Anything related to healt or fitness (for use on Fitness Friday)
~E-mail your submissions to me (jonsandy@bellsouth.net) with the words “Guest Post Submission” in the subject box.
~Paste your article in the body of the e-mail (not in an attachment).
~It is helpful for me to have it already formatted and in HTML, but that is not neccesary.
~If you plan to add pictures, indicate where you’d like me to insert them (ie, “picture of cow here”). No need to include them until I ask for them.
~I will contact you and let you know if/when your post will appear. I will try to respond within two weeks. Probably sooner.
Thanks for your submissions!!! I look forward to reading them.
