I just found out that a friend of mine needs immediate prayer. Melanie is a faithful reader and commenter on my blog. Her son Andrew has a brain tumor, which the doctors told her was inoperable. Apparently, tonight, he had emergency surgery on the tumor.

As a mother who has wept long and hard over the survival of my own son, the very least I can do is send out this message so all of you can pray, too.
